Frankie Courtneidge is an aspiring screenwriter who is a CalArts alumni and has been making films for over 10 years. His first forays into film were artistic shorts focusing on different mental health conditions. Soon animation was added to his arsenal while at NYU Tisch’s Filmmakers Workshop and he started combining live action and animation frequently. He began writing in 2020 and became enamoured with genre films, in particular noir. The writing soon inspired his filmmaking, and so began a series of genre short films which combined everything he had learnt until that point while studying on a merit scholarship at CalArts.
